Good Ole Mitch

"I like an escalator because an escalator can never break, it can only become stairs. There would never be an escalator temporarily out of order sign, only an escalator temporarily stairs. Sorry for the convenience." - Mitch Hedberg

Funny, I just heard this the other day when we went to Paris. I didn't make the connection then even though I'd heard it several times. I'm sorely lacking on the comedian front without Dane Cook reenactments.

P.S. Just watched "todo sobre mi madre" the other day in my cine and literatura class. Granted that it wasn't a play and was entirely in spanish without subtitles, but I'm failing to see the brilliantness that inspired so many awards and a grand recommedation from you yourself. In truth I'm pretty much unimpressed with what I've seen of Almodovar. Wanna throw some thoughts my way about this?

Ben... blogging is really theraputic. It is my way of unwinding my head at night... and it's a lot cheaper than vodka. Love the thought/quote on the elevator... it made me laugh. On your previous post... here's where I am at. What would life be like if we were completely selfless individuals? I mean think about the void of self image... what would ad agencies do? What would designers and clothing manufacturers do? I think the colors of each season would be black and white and maybe some gray mixed in simply because image would not matter. But it does... Again, selflessness is the way to go. If we were this way then 1/2 the world's problems would be solved overnight... poverty, world hunger, war, racial tension, violence, domestic violence, child abuse, and basically all crime would be drastically affected if we could only fathom the idea that "my life is not my own" and to truly "love my neighbor as myself". I heard this guy named Francis Chan say one time... if we truly loved our neighbor as ourselves, wouldn't we be giving 50% of everything we make... away to "our neighbor"? Just stuff to make you think.

Welcome to blogville. Let me know if its alright to link you on my page and I will.

Pray for the Andrews'... we need it.
